Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how 1566741 B.C. LTD. ("we," "us," "our"), operating as Venn Travel, collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information. We are committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation, including British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What We Collect

When you use Venn Travel, we collect:

Trip coordinator info: Name and email address — used to create your trip and allow you to access it later.
Family name: The name you give your family group (e.g. "The Johnsons") — used for display in the trip status page.
Quiz responses: Your answers to the 4-question preference quiz — food preferences, deal-breakers, budget range, and kids' activity preferences. These are used solely for resort matching.
Optional details: Kids' ages, dietary notes, and any additional information you choose to provide.

Privacy by design: Your quiz answers are never shown to other families in your group. The matching result uses pseudonymized labels (Family A, Family B, Family C) so no family can see another family's specific budget, deal-breakers, or preferences.

How We Use Your Information

Resort matching: Your quiz answers are processed by our matching engine to find the resort that best fits all families in your group.
Trip coordination: Your email is used only to let you retrieve your trip if you close your browser.
Service improvement: Anonymized, aggregated data about quiz patterns may be used to improve matching quality.

What We Do NOT Do

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
We do not share individual quiz answers with other families in your group.
We do not share your data with hotels or resorts.
We do not use your data for advertising or marketing beyond Venn Travel.
We do not store payment information — we do not process payments.

Third-Party Services

Our matching engine uses Anthropic's interpretive technology to analyze quiz responses and generate resort recommendations. Quiz answers are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not retain this data beyond the processing request.

When you click a booking link, you are redirected to third-party booking platforms (such as Booking.com or Expedia). These platforms have their own privacy policies. We use affiliate tracking parameters in these links, which identify Venn Travel as the referral source — no personal information is transmitted.

Data Retention

Trip data (quiz answers and matching results) is retained for 12 months after the trip's scheduled date, then automatically deleted. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure server infrastructure.

Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and PIPA, you have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information.
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information.
Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time.

Children's Privacy

Venn Travel is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Kids' ages provided in the quiz are used solely for matching resort facilities and are associated with the parent/guardian's family profile, not the child.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
